
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama–Bayer Properties expects to sign its first leases with tenants interested in an entertainment district being built adjacent to the BJCC within a month, a partner with the firm said today.
David Silverstein of Bayer said in an interview after today’s Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex Board meeting that meetings with restaurants, retailers and nightclubs interested in the project have gone well. Bayer, best known for developing The Summit retail center on U.S. 280, last fall was hired by the BJCC at $10,000-a-month to help the BJCC lease its district of nightclubs,
