Hilde Friese, who owns the Village Corner German Restaurant and Bakery with her husband Claus in the City of Stone Mountain, has been decorating gingerbread houses for at least 30 years. You’ll see them as part of the holiday decorations at the restaurant and for sale.

Patch recently captured Friese putting the finishing touches on a house, with a little help from her five-year-old grandson Colin McHaney.

The restaurant also has a gingerbread house workshop for those who want to learn.
