Iowa congressman Leonard Boswell was one of 17 Democrats who sided with Republicans to vote to hold the U.S. attorney general in contempt of Congress for failing to hand over paperwork connected to a gun trafficking scandal.
“I voted in support of contempt because I believe we need to be as transparent as possible so we can get to the bottom of this and bring this investigation to a close,” Boswell told The Des Moines Register today.
The vote Thursday afternoon was 255-67. The
