Claiming voter suppression, a national Dominican American organization and state Sen. Adriano Espaillat are demanding the Department of Justice monitor the high-stakes ballot count in Espaillat’s bid to unseat longtime Rep. Charles Rangel.
The Dominican American National Roundtable yesterday called on the feds to “investigate whether access to the ballot was denied or suppressed for Latino/Dominican voters in the Democratic Primary for the 13th Congressional District.”
