A tumultuous year for Middletown Borough Council and its leaders got a lot worse Monday night.
Borough Council was told by a financial consultant that the borough is operating has a deficit of around $3 million and won’t make it past the end of the year without change.
“You’ve got some serious financial issues. You’ve got some substantial cuts you’re going to have to make,” said Mark Morgan, a financial consultant that the borough hired in February.
