Paxtang celebrated the 236th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on Wednesday with a lively parade under a hot, sunny sky.

“I’m very proud about how Paxtang celebrates Independence Day,” Mayor Keldeen Stambaugh said after the 1.2-mile parade. “Our parade already is becoming a wonderful tradition, a great way to start the holiday.”’
